PM Modi made a special mention of Madurai barber-shop owner Mohan and his selfless efforts in helping the needy people in his surroundings!

Chennai: India is currently in the last day of the fourth phase of a nation-wide lockdown imposed by the Central Government. This lockdown, to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus, came into effect from March 25th and has since left many daily wage workers without any source of income. Many organizations have come forward to help the people and the Central & State Governments have also announced some relief measures. However, it is such times of need that bring out the best in people and showcases a number of good samaritans. Recently, it came to light that one such person – Mr. C Mohan from Madurai, who runs a barber shop, had used up all his savings to help the needy!On coming to know of Mr. Mohan’s good deeds, praises had poured in from all quarters and actor Parthiban had also come forward to undertake the expenses for the good samaritan’s daughter’s studies! As another feather in his cap, Mohan’s deeds have earned him a special mention and praise from India’s leader – Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself! Modi, in his nation-wide address – Mann Ki Baat today morning, praised the efforts of all individuals who had taken it upon themselves to help people around them in need. He made a special mention of Madurai barber-shop owner Mohan and his selfless efforts in helping the needy people in his surroundings!
